To serve as a liaison to the residents of Grogan's Mill Village and The Woodlands Township and other governmental entities for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Village of Grogan's Mill. Establish communication through proactive leadership.

2019-2020 GMVA Board Announced

The Grogan's Mill Village Association held their annual meeting on February 17, 2019 and voted for the officers for the coming year.  Welcome to our new members and thank you to those that have served.

GMVA Scholarship Available

The GMVA will be awarding at least five scholarships to high school seniors and current students
who are residents of Grogan's Mill at the time of application. Applicants must be in good standing at their school at the time of application. Applicants may attend either a 2 or 4 year college or vocational school. Applications must be filed by April 15.  You can see the criteria for awards and download an application from our website or pick up a copy in your school counselor's office. 

Future of Parks and Rec Department

Chris Nunes, The Woodlands Parks and Rec Dept gave a presentation at the monthly GMVA meeting on February 19.  He gathered opinions from those present regarding future Parks and Rec needs of the community.

Community members are encouraged to contact the Parks and Rec Dept to share any ideas they might have. 

The Parks and Rec Dept. will also be announcing soon the opening of TREE-VENTURES, and exciting concept that involves climbing trees while balancing and zipping through a variety of rope course elements at a variety of difficulty levels..

Aging in Place Asks for Volunteers

Aging in Place The Woodlands is an organization that help local residents stay in their homes.  It is always looking for volunteers to drive Senior Citizens who cannot drive themselves and help in other activities. If you are interested in volunteering contact them at:

Participate in Earth Day GreenUp

Earth Day GreenUp is the first Village Challenge competition for 2019! The event date is Saturday, March 23, 2019.  Last year, 64 residents from Grogan's Mill participated. So get your friends, get your scout troops, get your school groups, get your sports buddies and form a team to participate!

The Woodlands GREEN will award scholarship money to our village if we can gather enough volunteers to help out on this day.

Please pre-register online by March 11 to ensure equipment for you group.  Check-in on the day of GreenUp will be at Sawmill Park.

Safe 2 Save Tech-free Driving Village Challenge

The Woodlands Township Neighborhood Watch is teaming up with SAFE 2 SAVE to offer the Tech 4 Me Driving Village Challenge. The Top 3 Villages with the most points will receive monetary prizes to go towards their scholarship fund, or another fund which gives back to their community. Use the code: GROGANS when you join.

Ride a Bus to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

The Woodlands Township Board of Directors recently approved The Woodlands Express weekend service starting March 2, 2019 to the 2019 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service now offers an easy and convenient way to enjoy the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo three weekends during the rodeo: March 2 and 3, March 9 and 10, March 16 and 17, 2019.  Riders have the opportunity to enjoy all the festivities without driving and parking concerns!

Beginning Saturday, March 2, 2019, The Woodlands Express Rodeo Service will leave the Sterling Ridge Park and Ride location with return trips leaving NRG Stadium from the METRO/Rodeo Express pickup location throughout the afternoon and evening at scheduled intervals.

PRICE: $25 per Roundtrip Ticket
