All residents interested in future governance options in The Woodlands are invited to attend the Incorporation Planning Study Public Forum to offer input and feedback on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.
The Woodlands Township Incorporation Study consultants will provide a recap of studies to date such as the best practices analysis, law enforcement analysis, street condition analysis, a review of municipal utility district (MUD) operations and public feedback received to date.

The Woodlands Township Board Lowers Property Tax Rate
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held its regular meeting on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 where it lowered the 2018 property tax rate and adopted the 2019 budget.
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors approved a tax rate of 22.73 cents per $100 of taxable property value. This number is made up of 21.03 cents on each $100 of taxable property value within the Township for maintenance and operations and a 2018 ad valorem tax rate of 1.70 cents on each $100 of taxable property value within the Township for debt service.

Board Position Open
One of our hard-working board members, Mike Tabbert, is moving out-of-state and has stepped down from the Village Board. We will miss him a great deal and thank him for his years of service to our village.
Global Entry Now Offering Service Every Thursday at Township Office
With success of the Global Entry Enrollment Center in The Woodlands, the Township Board of Directors approved U.S. Customs and Border Patrol’s request to increase the number of operating days at Town Hall from twice a month to one day per week, occurring every Thursday.
Enrollment in Global Entry is now available every Thursday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. at The Woodlands Township, located at 2801 Technology Forest Boulevard in The Woodlands. Those interested in applying must complete an application online and pay a fee prior to enrolling. Please visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website to find out how to apply for Global Entry.

The Woodlands Township Board Holds Incorporation Planning Session
The Woodlands Township Board of Directors held an Incorporation Planning Session on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, to discuss future governance.
The Board of Directors discussed the following incorporation-related matters on the Regular Agenda:
Received a draft law enforcement feasibility analysis;
Received a draft pavement management/road conditions study;
Received upcoming meeting schedule;
The next incorporation planning session will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018. These meetings are held at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd., The Woodlands, Texas 77381, on the same days as the Board’s regular business meetings.

The Woodlands Township's biennial Resident Survey will be conducted by National Research Center in September by mail. The objective of the survey is to obtain resident opinions on various issues related to living in The Woodlands, including opinions about municipal services and issues of priority.
